Kaizer Chiefs news: Mayele fee ‘agreed’, Belgian striker linked
Is R12 million good business?

Kaizer Chiefs are encouraged that they can get a deal done for long-standing target Fiston Mayele. Here’s the latest.
Mayele’s price has dropped, can Kaizer Chiefs afford him?
Pyramids FC want to cash in on Kaizer Chiefs target Fiston Mayele. The prolific Congolese marksman’s contract expires in a year. Meanwhile, the same publication believes that Chiefs are looking at 26-year-old Belgian striker Josh Eppiah.
“Chiefs have a great chance of signing Mayele this time around. It is believed that with his contract remaining with almost a year, they want to make some cash before he becomes a free agent,” SoccerLaduma revealed.
“It’s apparently in the range between R12 million and R15 million, and you know Chiefs’ last offer was around R14 million, so it means they can now afford to sign him.”
Nedbank Cup final vs Orlando Pirates looms
Of the teams’ eight previous meetings in the Nedbank Cup final, Kaizer Chiefs have won six finals – in 1971, 1976, 1977, 1981, 1984 and 2006. Orlando Pirates have managed two wins in 1975 and 1988. A 75% win ratio is a huge reason for Amakhosi fans to be cautiously optimistic.
Would you spend R12 million on Mayele, Kaizer Chiefs fans?
